Imogen Mary Thomas

Selected as a housemate in the seventh series of the Channel 4 TV series, Big Brother, up to week 5, Thomas was not allowed to participate in nominations. In week 1 she was in the Big Brotherhood, and there were no nominations. In weeks 2 and 3, she was banned from nominating for discussing nominations. In week 4, only Susie was permitted to nominate, and in week 5, as punishment for yet again discussing nominations she was forced (along with 4 other rule breakers) to nominate one fellow rule breaker in front of the group. On Day 84, Imogen moved with fellow nominee Richard into the House Next Door, where she remained until she was evicted on Day 86 with 62% of the public vote.

Imogen Mary Thomas

Imogen was born to Charles Thomas, an education welfare officer, and his wife Janette in Gorseinon, near Swansea, South Wales. Her parents separated when she was two years old, and, after her mother remarried when she was six, she was brought up by her mother and step-father in Llanelli, South Wales. Thomas developed alopecia when she was six, losing chunks of her hair.
Thomas has been working as a model since she was 13, and at the age of 17 moved to London to become a professional model. Working in bars to pay for her living costs, she was rejected by many modelling agencies due to her height.[citation needed]
She reluctantly returned to her studies, and gained a degree in Health studies and Psychology at the University of Worcester. During this period she entered beauty contests, and was crowned Miss Wales in 2003, beating future Big Brother 9 winner Rachel Rice, who came third. She went on to represent Wales at Miss World in China. This prompted her to return to London to try glamour modelling, and also working as a bar hostess at London's Sanderson Hotel.

Dorien Rose biography

Dorien Rose was born in the city of Haarlem, the Netherlands, but soon moved to Hong Kong with her Dutch father and German mother. Her first language was English as she grew up in the expatriate community of Discovery Bay, where she also attended the international kindergarten. During that period also her only sister Nadia was born. As a six year old she returned to the Netherlands (Bloemendaal) and eventually settled in Limburg close to the German and Belgium border. She mastered the Dutch and German language quickly through the family contacts in both countries.
During her high school days she lived in the protected environment of the family farm in Nuth with many animals and surrounded by beautiful nature. In those days she spent most of her leisure time with caring for her horse and animals and competed for many years in dressage. At the age of 18, after having graduated from high school with subsequently completed a one year course as beautician she decided to move back to Haarlem, a more dynamic area in Holland. Her ambitions to pursue a career as a model were first triggered during a vacation in Kenya where she was asked to participate in a fashion show, and also had her first photo-shoot. In 2003 she received her first professional contracts for Panorama, Snoecks and other Dutch magazines shot by photographer duo Hans Toonen and Wientjens in Ibiza, Spain.
